Amir Podheiser

Mir masterfully switches between cooking for private chef clients and handling delivery and driver logistics for Home Appétit’s meal service.

Before coming to H.A., Mir cooked at Le Cheri, Bibou, Stock and Pumpkin. His favorite Philly restaurant to grab dinner at is L’Angolo.

Ashley Primis

Director of Marketing and Business Development

After graduating from Duke University, Ashley attended the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. She moved to Philadelphia and cooked at the Four Seasons before becoming a food writer. She spent 15 years as an editor for Philadelphia magazine and other outlets. She also worked as a director for Starr Restaurants.

She joined Home Appétit in 2020 as the first corporate employee. In her role, she oversees all marketing, branding and communications efforts, identifies business opportunities, and occasionally buys office furniture.

She lives in Queen Village with her husband and kids. She mostly cooks chicken nuggets now.

Evan Butkovsky

Chef De Cuisine

Evan runs the day-to-day kitchen operations, manages team members, and ensures H.A.’s meals hit the highest quality, consistency and taste standards. Evan has previously cooked at Vernick, El Vez, Amada and Kanella.

In his free time, you can find him playing hoops or hanging with his daughter and wife (who is also a cook at Home Appétit) in South Philly.

Joe Lakavage

Sous Chef & Personal Chef

While often helping out with our meal delivery service, Joe spends most of his time working with our private chef clients, cooking a variety of customized meals for their dietary needs and tastes each week.

Before joining our team, Joe cooked at Gotham Bar and Grill in NYC, Mémé in Philly, Plumpjack Squaw Valley Inn and Balboa Cafe in Tahoe, and more. Joe’s favorite Philly restaurant is South Philly Barbacoa.

Lee Wallach

Founder/Chef

Lee became enamored with restaurants when he worked as a dishwasher in Rehoboth when he was 14. (He eventually wound up getting to chop a few veggies, too.) After graduating from George Washington University in 2008, Lee went back to cooking, working at renowned restaurants in Napa, Miami and New York.

In 2013 Lee relocated to Philadelphia and took the opportunity to reevaluate his future. While trying to figure out what was next, he accepted a temporary personal chef gig on the Main Line. You can guess the rest...
